Το μοναδικό ποτάμι με θηλυκό όνομα

Ρέει αδιάκοπα εδώ και αιώνες, ακολουθώντας τη δική της διαδρομή.

Κάποτε με περισσότερο νερό και σήμερα με λιγότερη ροή μέσα στην ίδια μεγάλη κοίτη. Κι όμως, συνεχίζει να ρέει και να αντέχει στον χρόνο, παραμένοντας μέρος του τοπίου και της φύσης που την περιβάλλει.

Επιλέχθηκαν έγχρωμες φωτογραφίες, ώστε να αναδειχθούν τα χρώματα του νερού, της κοίτης και του τοπίου.

Neda River

The only river in Greece with a feminine name

For centuries, she has flowed uninterrupted, following her own course.

Once carrying more water, today her flow is reduced within the same wide riverbed. And yet, she continues to flow and endure through time, remaining part of the landscape and the natural world that surrounds her.

There is a particularity in the Greek language: the river's name, Neda, is feminine. In Greek, we say “i Neda” (η Νέδα), referring to the river in the feminine gender. This gives the river a feminine identity that is not conveyed in English.

Colour photographs were chosen to bring out the colours of the water, the riverbed and the surrounding landscape.
